About the Speakers: Meeting With Major Donors: The Basics

Laura Frye leads the Merrimack Repertory Theatre’s fundraising efforts, working closely with trustees, staff, patrons, and the community. Her previous experience includes working as a major gifts officer at Boston Ballet and assistant manager of society giving at the Boston Symphony Orchestra. She has more than 13 years of fundraising experience.

Maria joined The Chronicle of Philanthropy in 2004. She directs the annual Philanthropy 50, a comprehensive report on America’s most generous donors. She writes about wealthy philanthropists, arts organizations, and key trends and insights about how the affluent channel their money to good causes.
